This is Coach Jeanson’s fourth year as an assistant coach for the CV track team. He coached the boy’s JV soccer team at CVHS his first four years at Campo, and has coached the CV cross country team since 2015. As a math teacher at CV, he believes that academics come first, but extracurricular activities are a great way for students to learn life lessons that will impact them for the rest of their lives.
Coach Jeanson has trained for many different long distance endurance events since he started running in the fall of 2011. He has completed half marathons, long distance trail runs, marathons, half Ironmans, and one full Ironman. Some people drink coffee in the morning; Coach Jeanson is out running at 4 AM.
What Coach Jeanson enjoys most about the CVHS running programs is how positive and family-like the team atmosphere is. Whether it is morning practices, high altitude camp, the California trip, or races/invitationals, he enjoys being out there supporting the kids and seeing them push themselves and each other to be successful. You will probably see/hear him at meets losing his voice as he cheers on every Campo runner.
