Coach Morgan - Long & Triple Jump, Sprints

Josh Morgan

Assistant Coach

2019 will be Coach Morgan's sixth year coaching long and triple jumpers. He spent two years on the coaching staff at Williams Field HS, and is in his fourth season at Campo.  Although he began coaching as a hobby, it has quickly become a passion for him. This is evidenced by the fact that Coach Morgan has coached at least one athlete to State qualification in each season he has trained jumpers.

"I absolutely love the atmosphere and philosophy of Campo sports," Coach Morgan says, "I've never seen harder working and more disciplined athletes in my life."  He has a passion for nutrition and exercise, his training has a clear emphasis on weightlifting and plyometrics. "I'm always researching and trying to learn more so I can use my knowledge to benefit the athletes I coach."  Currently, Coach Morgan has recently completed nursing school and works in the trauma center of the ER at Chandler Regional Hospital.  He wants to continue to focus on trauma/emergency nursing and see where that takes him.
Coach Morgan has lifetime PR's of 22' 0" for long jump and 44' 6" for triple jump. He has gone sub-11 for 100m at 10.90 seconds.  At AJHS, he competed at the State Championships all four years, was a member of the 4x100m relay team that won the state title in that event in 2008, finished 2nd at State for long jump, and was a major contributor to the 2008 Boys State Championship team.
