Assistant Coach

Coach Tamura is in his second year coaching the CV Cross Country team this year. He has a long background with youth sports. He started wrestling Freestyle in 3rd grade and wrestled competitively until just 12 years ago. He ran Track and Cross Country in High School making the Varsity Team Sophomore through Senior Years. Coach Tamura became a certified bronze level Coach through USA Wrestling in 1996 and started a wrestling club in a local town to give opportunities to the youth to participate in something to grow them as individuals.

Coach Tamura helped coach and train his son Christian to run the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim to Rim which they completed together in November of 2016.

In 2019, he was given the opportunity to become a Track and Field Coach with Campo Verde and is now excited to focus totally on the Cross Country team this season and grow runners.
