Saturday, Sept 22nd, Arizona's top talent toed the line at Shalimar Golf Course in Tempe.
In the Invitational Girls Race, the team of Sara Eltiste, Madison Dominguez, Ellie Brooks, Layne Farrow, Brady Riggs, Olivia Callaghan, and Kathryn Fowler finished with 2-5 separated by a slim spread of just 34 seconds, which played a big part in their runner-up team finish, even without Kaitlyn Bowe who ran a personal best of 20:14 in the Non-Varsity race earlier that morning.
The Boys squad of Kenny Edwards, Wyatt Hanson, Christian Tamura, Zac Whaley, Mac Jones, Anthony Cox, and Wes Blair took 3rd in the Elite Boys Race at the end of the morning. Junior Kenny Edwards led the way for the Boys' team finishing 4th overall in a personal best time of 16:01.
